Cabinet Meeting Notes (5/15/2021)
Banking Plugin:
Cabinet is looking into implementing a new banking plugin, proposed by Advisor kailabeann. This plugin may allow players to have a separate bank account from their balance. This account will earn a certain percentage of interest over time. The DoE will head this project. If this is implemented, the DoCR will work with mayors to construct banks in each city and town.
Mail Plugin:
Cabinet is looking into implementing a new mail plugin, proposed by Advisor kailabeann. This will come with a number of new features, such as post offices and mailboxes, which can be used to send letters or items to other players. The DoE will head this project. If this is implemented, the DoCR will work with mayors to construct post offices in each city and town. Small post office fees may provide additional income for the government.
Guns:
Cabinet discussed the upcoming addition of guns to the server. Gun licenses will be required, obtained through an exam written by the DoJ. The DoE has been tasked with creating a guide for the exam as well as looking into adding a Gunsmith job. A government shop that sells guns may be added as well.
Gambling Plugin:
Cabinet is looking into adding a custom gambling/casino plugin that may be used by casino businesses. This plugin may include different gambling games, such as blackjack.
NPCs:
Cabinet is looking into implementing a custom NPC plugin. This may open a number of doors, including custom quests given to players by NPCs. NPCs may also be used in the tutorial to create a richer, more immersive experience for new players.
New Tutorial:
A new tutorial location is currently being worked on by the DoC. This will include a brand-new and improved tutorial experience. Cabinet discussed allowing players to choose their starting city/town at the end of this new tutorial to compensate for the removal of the hub.
Healthcare Changes:
Cabinet discussed changing the odds of getting certain medical ailments. The potential of adding a Surgeon role to solve certain more severe conditions was discussed, but was decided against.
Bus Revamp:
Cabinet discussed the potential of revamping the bus system. Ideally, the new system would allow players to open a GUI and select the bus stop they want to travel to within the city. A similar system may be implemented for buses that travel to towns. Additionally, Cabinet is looking into reducing travel times for public transportation.
Monthly Cabinet Meetings:
Cabinet determined that meetings will now be scheduled at least once per month.
