Department of Agriculture
Minister: Kawaibab

Department Progress:

  • This month we hired 3 players; Syronic, AbiDarkmoon & MegaMinerM
  • We have began revamping the Zoo with new exhibitions, aiming to make it a more recognised landmark on the server.
  • We've hosted our 4th Monthly Press Conference, allowing myself to pick up on the requests of the public.
  • One of our main projects this month was revamping the End Portal area. We've successfully revamped the area, making the exterior and interior more appealing. It is now accessible through a marked elevator and the Strongehold.
  • The Tamable Fox plugin was introduced, allowing players to utilize foxes in an easier way.
  • 67 Ranger Reports were submitted this month, this is an increase of 42 from last month!
  • 30 Wild Reports were submitted this month, 29 of these were by our EM/Rangers.
Upcoming Projects:
  • With the introducing of the tamable fox plugin, we're one step closer to introducing a new pet store. This means that the DoA will be able to offer a larger selection of pets to the public. (We are currently looking into more tamable pet plugins).
  • As it was a suggestion raised in our press conference, I'm looking into whether a Warp 5 should be introduced, and if it was, the location. If it were to be introduced, it would most likely be located in a new biome.
  • As usual, we've planned to host another press conference next month.
  • We're planning to continue the Zoo Project, introducing a larger range of animals and making it more interactive.
  • Along with the Zoo Project, we're hoping to make areas of the DoA easier to get to. This would be through introducing bus stops at the National Forest, the Zoo and whilst unlikely, potentially the Animal Shelter.

Department Progress:
August was a bit of a slow month for the DoE. We had some turnover in the department and a few ES's took vacation time. A top priority for September is to fill the empty ES seats to bring the department back up to full capacity and ease the workload on only 3 members.

Although our numbers are in short supply, our ideas are not. We've been working hard on our Education and Financial reform projects. Our education system is due for an overhaul with the use of NPC professors. We've been exploring the idea of "Master" job titles earned through completing special quests. This title will unlock extra job perks. This will both incentivize players to specialize in a single field as well as provide a new goal to strive for. We're also discussing how we can extend our education system to include a business branch to help teach players how to earn a living and run a successful business.

Our Financial reform ideas have made significant progress as well. We've decided to revoke the current Federal Banking Agency system in favor of a new process that relies on an official registration process and the court system instead. The current system has absolutely no verification processes and relies entirely on the bank owner's word. By going through the courts, the government can offer the same coverage but with clearly supported evidence and under the purview of a Judge. Our hope is more well-funded players will feel safer offering loans if they know they can be at least partially guaranteed. A proposal for the new system will be sent to Cabinet voting next week.

Upcoming Projects:
For September, we'll be focusing on pushing out proposals for all the planning we've been doing. Unfortunately big projects like these take a lot of time in both planning and execution, especially when we have only 3 people in the department. We have a lot on our plate, so we're remaining focused on the projects we currently have before taking on new ones.

New decorative heads will be available in the first week of September. This month's theme is a party: a golden present, a red solo cup, a cupcake, and two balloons.

Department of Health
Minister: LobsterRoast

  • Work on bringing more people into the hospital. Lowing Soothing Potion chance to cure has been discussed but may be controversial and we encourage everybody to give input if they'd like.
