If you have been on the store, you might be familiar with the pets page.
my suggestion is to have the pets have some sorts of usage. (for example: the boxer might be able to hold a couple items for you or the panda can collect food over time).

in better detail, the panda might be able to have an outgoing box when you right-click it and over time it might collect a resource like sugar cane
