-Title: Edits to the Temporary Judges Law

-Type of motion: Edit

-Elaboration & Reasoning:
Currently, the Temporary Judges Law states that in the situation that a case is filed against the presiding judge (only applies if there is only one active judge), then the Speaker of Parliament would preside over that case. However, I propose to expand this to a situation in which the presiding judge files a case. (Again, only if there is 1 judge at that time). A judge shouldn’t have to feel like he/she can’t file a case simply because of the reflection it would have upon them if they were to judge a case they filed. This would also remove a bias, because a judge would either rule in their own favor, feel obliged to rule against themselves, or, again, feel like they shouldn’t file a case at all. In short, I propose that the speaker of parliament preside over cases filed by the judge in addition to ones against the judge in a situation where only one judge is in office.

- Additional Information: Just an idea and I’m open to suggestions
