In a vote of 6:1, Parliament has resolved that:

If an MP resigns from parliament, they shall forego their ability to run in the subsequent parliamentary election. An MP who resigns can run for office after one (1) election has passed. Special cases may be granted by cabinet where it is deemed unfair or in extreme circumstances to have previously resigned, and that they are confident the resignation is not likely again.
