Appeals
If the defendant believes that a verdict was wrong, they may file appeal in the next highest court.Ex. District Court ruling is appealed to the Circuit Court, Circuit Court rulings are appealed to the Supreme Court.
The Supreme Court is the highest court of law and cases can no longer be appealed once the Court has ruled.
All Appeals made to the Circuit Court must be heard and a verdict shall be given by a Circuit Court Judge. Use the format below to file an appeals case. Title it Appellant v. Appellee. Appellant is the person filing the appeal and the appellee is the person on the other side of the appeals case.
