Appeals

If the defendant believes that a verdict in the Circuit Court was wrong, they may file appeal in the Supreme Court.
The Supreme Court is the highest court of law and cases can no longer be appealed once the Court has ruled.

Appeals to the Supreme Court are made with the format below. If the Supreme Court agrees with majority vote to hear the appeal, the Appellant can refile the case in the Supreme Court for the Court to hear the case. Title the appeal case Appellant v. Appellee. Appellant is the person filing the appeal and the appellee is the person on the other side of the appeals case. If accepted, the case will be refiled normally using the Supreme Court complaint format.
