Articles of Impeachment against DoubbleKerius, Prime Minister
In Resolution
The Parliament of Stratham enacts:
Section 1. Commencement
(1) These Articles of Impeachment shall pass into law upon the approval of the Parliament.
Section 2. Reasoning for Impeachment
(1) The Prime Minister, DoubbleKerius, has failed to meet the constitutional requirement of maintaining 1 day (24 hours) of active playtime during their term, as required by Article 1, Section 1.1(d) of the BusinessCraft Constitution.
(2) The Prime Minister has been absent for 14 consecutive days without making an official announcement of exemption, as outlined in Article 7, Section 7.3(a) of the BusinessCraft Constitution.
(3) The Prime Minister’s inactivity constitutes a failure to execute their duties, including ensuring that laws are faithfully enforced, as required by Article 1, Section 1.1(e).
(4) The lack of leadership and communication from the Prime Minister has hindered the effective functioning of the government and necessitates their removal from office.
Section 3. Tribunal
(1) Be it resolved by the Parliament of Stratham that DoubbleKerius is hereby impeached.
(2) An Impeachment Tribunal shall convene to determine the final outcome, as outlined in Article 6, Section 6.2 of the BusinessCraft Constitution.
(3) The Chief Justice shall preside over the impeachment trial, as required by Article 6, Section 6.1(e).
(4) A public vote shall take place for 48 hours, requiring a minimum of 15 votes in the majority to convict the accused, per Article 6, Section 6.2(d)-(f).
Section 4. Succession
(1) Should the Prime Minister be convicted and removed from office, the Deputy Prime Minister shall assume office as per Article 7, Section 7.2(a).
(2) If the Deputy Prime Minister is unavailable, the next official in the line of succession shall assume the role of Acting Prime Minister until an election is held.
