Introduction
BusinessCraft has a sophisticated health system and many diseases which can be contracted in many different ways. Some diseases are not contagious like flesh wounds, while some diseases, such as plague, are very contagious. This guide will walk you through the process of getting proper treatment.
Types of Disease
We have 3 distinct types of illnesses:
-Status (drunkenness, etc,)
-Physical Illness (Broken Leg, Flesh wounds, etc,)
-Biological Illness (Plague, Pox, etc,)
Hunger, and Drunkenness are all part of your status. If your hunger is low, or you’re too drunk off of alcoholic drinks, you can treat all of those entirely independently; as the hospital does not treat drunkenness. Status is non-contagious.
Broken Legs, Arrow Wounds, Open Wounds, Flesh Wounds, and Pneumonia are all Physical Illnesses and can be treated via a player/government owned pharmacy or at a city hospital.
Plague, Pox, Yellow Fever, Swamp Fever, and Rabies are all Biological Illnesses. Biological Illnesses are usually contagious and must be treated at a government approved hospital or clinic.
Locating Treatment
Treatment can come in many different ways.
-Drunkenness can be aided by eating bread and drinking milk (Which can be sold to you by a doctor).
All Physical Illnesses can be treated by a player/gov owned pharmacy (seen below) or by a doctor. Leg Splints cure broken legs, Bandages cure open wounds and flesh wounds, and warm gel cures pneumonia. Broken Legs, Pneumonia, Open Wounds, and Flesh Wounds are not treated in clinics, as all towns are required to have atleast one pharmacy.
All Biological Illnesses must be treated at a government approved hospital or clinic. Your nearest hospital or clinic can be located on the dynmap located here. When being treated by a doctor, please follow their instructions and do not try to twist the rules. Doctors have a strict protocol and if you wish to see it changed you can suggest changes in the Department of Health Discord.
If you do require a doctor, please remember to click the sign at the front desk of a hospital or clinic (seen below), and find the price of your treatment by locating your hospital’s price board
(seen below) and matching a remedy with your disease using /disease list (seen below).
To end off this guide, pharmacies sell soothing potions which will temporarily quell a disease in the event that a doctor is not present.
That concludes this guide on Diseases. Stay Healthy!
