- Title: Jailed Players Rights
- Type of motion (Edit/Removal/Creation): Creation
- Elaboration & Reasoning: There is currently not any documentation for what rights a jailed player has. Jailed players have the same rights as any other player with the exceptions noted below:
1. Speaking while in jail is a privilege, and Police officers are authorized to "Jail Mute" a player under the following circumstances:
- The player is spamming and no staff are online.
- The player is arguing with the officer, victim, or other player in regards to why they were jailed, the imprisonment length, and/or any citations/fines.
2. All but the following commands do not function:
- /laws - to read our laws
- /lawsuit - to understand our court system
- /help - to learn about the server
- /health , /thirst , and /temp - to check their health and ask for a Doctor's assistance
- /pay and/or /withdraw - to be able to pay others
- Access to switch to Global and Local channels (via perms) - to allow for local communication
3. Jailed players can request their remaining time once every 3 minutes. (about - nobody is expected to time this) If a player consistently asks what their remaining time in shorter intervals, the Police officer can jail mute them at the PO's discretion.
- Other Notes: When a player is jailed a message should be sent to them with the link to the laws page on the forum so they can read it.
