Following Cabinet's vote to allow towns to apply for a 10,000 block agricultural expansion, Lexford's council swiftly got to work mapping out an area for a brand-new agricultural expansion. After mapping the expansion out, we had planned to pay out of pocket and not apply for a grant to speed things up further, seeing as we're stoked to get started on this new project. However, after waiting 8 days and not receiving a response from the DoC in regard to our expansion request, we were instructed by the DoCR to apply for a grant instead. We would be beyond grateful for the financial support that an expansion grant would offer Lexford as we grow and expand our horizons to further support not only our local economy, but the server economy as a whole through means of providing spacious agricultural plots to players.
The proposed expansion area is located directly south of Lexford's new main street, and extends to the town's gas station. This land will be used to create a variety of farming plots, ranches, and other agricultural spaces. The black rectangle on the map below outlines the land that we would like to purchase with the granted funds and, if accepted, we will get straight to work on the expansion. Additionally, the current farming district located between downtown Lexford and Lexford's residential district may be reutilized to paste in buildings from Westridge's old Red Torch District.
