Amend the constitution.

The Parliament of Stratham enacts:

Section 1. Short Title

(1) This Act is the PMIA Bill.

Section 2. Commencement

(1) All Provision(s) shall come into effect upon passage.

Section 3. Reasoning

(1) Reasons for the bill

Section 4. Amend Section 2, Subsection 4,
(1) Amend Section 2, Subsection 4, subsubsection II of the constitution from

(I) In the event that the Prime Minister suddenly resigns or is removed from their position, the given list of succession is to be followed:
  1. Deputy Prime Minister
  2. Minister of State
  3. Minister of Economy
  4. Minister of Justice
  5. Minister of Public Affairs
  6. Minister of Construction
  7. Minister of Health
  8. Minister of Agriculture

(II) In case the Prime Minister is inactive or MIA, the Deputy Prime Minister may assume the role of Acting Prime Minister with the majority support of both the Cabinet and Parliament until the Prime Minister’s written declaration to the Deputy Prime Minister and Speaker of Parliament stating otherwise.

To

(I) In the event that the Prime Minister suddenly resigns or is removed from their position, the given list of succession is to be followed:
  1. Deputy Prime Minister
  2. Minister of State
  3. Minister of Economy
  4. Minister of Justice
  5. Minister of Public Affairs
  6. Minister of Construction
  7. Minister of Health
  8. Minister of Agriculture

(II) In case the Prime Minister is inactive, MIA, or incapable of discharging their powers , the Deputy Prime Minister may assume the role of Acting Prime Minister with the majority support of the Cabinet until the Prime Minister’s written declaration to the Speaker of Parliament stating that no inability exists for them to execute their powers. If the Deputy Prime Minister with majority support of Cabinet agrees that the Prime Minister is still unable to execute their powers, it will be up to Parliament to decide with majority vote whether or not the Prime Minister may return.
(A) Parliament with majority vote may declare the Prime Minister incapable of executing their duties and upon their written declaration to the Deputy Prime Minister, the Deputy Prime Minister will assume the role of Acting Prime Minister.

This bill is hereby VETOED and not granted Prime Ministerial assent

This in my opinion is open to extreme abuse and is giving the Parliament power they do not need to have. Why should parliament be able to determine if the PM is incapable. That should be decided by the people that work with the PM, not potential political advisories. The Parliament is granted the power to VoNC.
