Amend the Constitution
The Parliament of Stratham enacts:
Section 1. Short Title
(1) This Act is the 6th Amendment
Section 2. Commencement
(1) All provisions shall come into effect upon signage of this bill.
Section 3. Purpose and Reasoning
(1) To reform power distribution within the government and create government accountability to prevent abuse of power
Section 4. Article 2 Amendments
(1) Additional clause in Section 2.3 The Speaker
2.3(g) The Speaker may dismiss Members of Parliament with the support of another Member of Parliament should they reach 3 warning strikes.
Section 5. Article 6 Amendments
(1) Addition of Section 6.4 - Votes of No Confidence
6.4 (a) A vote of no confidence can be initiated by any member of public or High Ranking Government Official by proposing it in the Public Referendums channel on Forums.
6.4 (b) This section applies to all executive officials unless an exception is stated.
6.4 (c) The procedure written below shall be carried out by the Department of State. In the case that the official concerned is the State minister, the Speaker of Parliament shall carry out the necessary procedures.
6.4 (d) To initiate a vote of no confidence, a forum post must be made with 5 players, including at least 2 non-parliament players, replying and showing open support for the Vote within 48 hours of the post being made.
6.4 (e) Once this step is fulfilled, a vote will be initiated in Parliament regarding the removal of said Official. Should this vote receive supermajority approval in favour of removing said Official, the Official will be removed from their position. In the case that the official concerned is the Prime Minister or Deputy Prime Minister, a unanimous vote will be required.
6.4 (f) Should the Vote not receive parliamentary backing, a public Vote of no Confidence lasting 14 days shall be initiated. Should the vote receive 10 signatures, the official shall be removed from their position. In the case of the Prime Minister or Deputy Prime Minister 15 signatures shall be required.
6.4 (g) After the removal of the Prime Minister, the order of succession listed in the Constitution will be used.
6.4 (h) Any removed Official may occupy the position they were removed from until the term ends.
Section 6. Addition to Article 8
(1) Addition of Section 8.1(m)
8.1 (m) Define “member of public” as any player with a Join Date of more than 2 weeks and a /bcseen of 6hrs.
