The Parliament of Stratham enacts:
Section 1. Short Title
(1) This Act is the Warehouse Regulations Act.
Section 2. Commencement
(1) This Act shall come into effect upon signage.
Section 3. Purpose and Reasoning
(1) As of the drafting of this Act, there are warehouses near the port that have been purchased but have not been utilized.
(2) Given the high demand for storage, any warehouse that remains unused shall be subject to resale to other players.
Section 4. Regulations
(1) The following regulations shall apply to the owners of these warehouses and how they shall be used.
(a) The owner of a warehouse must have an active playtime of at least 8 hours within the server, as verified by the /bcseen command.
(b) The warehouse must be actively used within 2 weeks of its purchase. The player shall have the ability to request an extension from the DoID Minister/ Senior PI.
(c) If the conditions in (a) and (b) are not met, the warehouse will be subject to mandatory resale by the government, and the owner will be fined 500kr.
(d) The previous owner of the warehouse shall not be able to repurchase the warehouse if it has been forcibly resold for the next 30 days from the point of eviction.
Section 5. Enforcement
(1) This Act shall be enforced and monitored by the Property Inspectors in the Department of Internal Development (DoID) and they will complete PI reports based on this.
(2) Non-compliance with the regulations outlined in Section 4 shall result in the following actions:
(a) Notification to the owner regarding the non-compliance and a period of 2 weeks to rectify the situation from the reporting of the warehouse not meeting regulation.
(b) If the owner fails to comply within the rectification period, they shall be fined 500kr, and the warehouse will be forcibly resold to another player at the original price of 5000kr.
(c) The proceeds from any resale shall not be returned to the original owner.
(3) Non-compliance with the regulation outlined in Section 4(d) shall result in the following actions:
(a) If the original owner repurchases the warehouse without permission from the DoID, they shall be fined 1000kr and the property taken off them.
