- Suggestion Title: Add @mentions Role
- Elaborate (Why do you think it should be added, how will it improve the server, etc.): The role would be given to all who want it, and basically instead of @everybody-ing you do @mention. This makes it so people who don't want to be pinged won't.
- Does this require the installation of a new plugin (Yes/No): No
- If you answered Yes on the previous question, please link the plugin (Leave blank if you answered No):
- Additional Information: It could be easy to add with a role bot or just asking for it in #staff-support. Pretty basic thing, but a lot of people would like it.

Instead of calling it mentions, you could call it updates. It's more formal that way

I do agree with most of your points. For example, pinging @here for something like a bug fix is unnecessary, and may (will) cause some members who are currently inactive to leave. Pinging the whole server isn't really necessary unless it will affect everyone, hence the name.

Minor server updates have been moved to being posted in this thread, rather than being made inside of the server-announcements channel. If players do not like getting pinged for major updates, or just in general, they can always mute the channel and suppress pings. However, I'll bring this up to the administration and see what their thoughts are on this.
