Preserve the historic buildings of Stratham


The Parliament of Stratham enacts:

Section 1. Short Title

(1) This Act is the Historic Building Designation Act.

Section 2. Commencement

(1) All provisions shall come into effect upon passage.

Section 3. Reasoning

(1) This bill will give the DoID a legal right to prevent the exterior editing and mishandling of historical buildings.

Section 4. Definitions

(1) Define Stage A griefing as the editing of < 25 exterior blocks.

(2) Define Stage B griefing as the editing of < 50 exterior blocks.

(3) Define Stage C griefing as the editing of > 50 exterior blocks.

(4) Define a Historical Building as a building that has been accepted for Historical status by the DoID.

(5) Define Heritage Negligence as a player who refuses to remove another player from their plot who has perpetrated a grief of any stage more than once.

Section 5. Punishments

(1) Outlaw Exterior Griefing of any stage when a building has Historical status.

(2) Stage A griefing
(a) 1st Offense: 250kr fine and 10 minutes jail time.
(b) 2nd Offense: 500kr fine and 15 minutes jail time.
(c) 3rd Offense: 1000kr fine, 20 minutes jail time, and eviction.

(3) Stage B griefing
(a) 1st Offense: 750kr fine and 15 minutes jail time.
(b) 2nd Offense: 1500kr fine, 20 minutes jail time, and eviction.

(4) Stage C griefing
(a) 1st Offense: 2000kr fine and 25 minutes jail time.
(b) 2nd Offense: 5000kr fine, 30 minutes jail time, and eviction.

(4) Heritage Negligence
(a) Outlaw Heritage Negligence
(b) Any Offense: 2000kr fine, 25 minutes jail time, and eviction.

Abstain - While I like that idea of this bill, the terms used are a bit confusing. Defining this as griefing isn't exactly correct as you do own the building. This should just be defined as Exterior Modifications
