The Council of Ministers of Stratham enacts:
Section 1. Short Title

The Council of Ministers of Stratham enacts:
Section 1. Short Title
- This act is the Pruning Act II
- All provisions shall come into effect upon passage.
- This bill will replace the Pruning Act I.
- The original Pruning Act served to be very useful in fundraising for the government, but did not account for some practical issues that arose when enacting the bill for the first time. The first is that each pruning cycle raised enough revenue for it to not be a frequent practice and the second is that there were too many accounts that qualified to be pruned, creating a monumental task to sort through those accounts. This act proposes changes that eases some of those issues.
- Players with balances of 50,000kr or more with a /seen of greater than 30 days at the first of a pruning month will be pruned of 10% of their balance each month that they do not meet the 30 day requirement.
- Exemptions can be granted by the Department of Economy through the creation of a ticket in the DoE discord.
- The Department of Economy may decide to prune at any month when necessary to avoid pruning during months where fundraising is not needed. However, the public must be given at least a 30 day notice prior to a round of pruning.
- Every player being pruned must be informed through Discord or through mail in-game if the player does not have a Discord that can be reached.
- The information that should be included in this message are the date of pruning and the amount collected from their balance.
- Players may request an exemption up to a week after they have received a pruning notification.
- If a player’s balance dips below 50,000kr, they will no longer be taxed.
- This can be done on the DoE discord or through a government announcement, but it must be in a place that the public has access.
- Amounts collected from individuals must be recorded, but do not need to be publicized.
- A returning player must reach a playtime of 4 hours above the playtime at the time of pruning to request a return of up to 75% of the total pruned amount of their balance.
- This playtime will only be recorded once a ticket is made for a refund request
- This return can be processed in installments if necessary for a maximum of 3 months.
- The return process may be paused or halted if the player once again meets requirements to be considered inactive by this law unless granted an exception by the Department of Economy.
