Establish the process of The Speakership Accession Act
The Parliament of Stratham enacts:
Section 1. Short Title
(1) This Act is the The SAA Act.
Section 2. Commencement
(1) All provisions shall come into effect upon passage of the bill.
Section 3. Reasoning
(1) The SAA Act will define in the event that a speaker is removed from office or resigns that the deputy speaker will become Speaker in possessionem.
Section 4. Process
(1) The Speaker in possessionem, will continue the work the current speaker was attending.
(2) They will then schedule a confirmation election 3 days after the Deputy Speaker has become Speaker in possessionem.
(3) If the Confirmation has passed The Speaker in possessionem becomes the official Speaker and will appoint a Deputy Speaker.
(4) If the confirmation is denied, a fresh speakership election will begin allowing any nomination within the speaker election rules.
(5) If the Speaker resigns three weeks before the election then the Deputy Speaker will see out the period until after the election.
