What are trophy points for?

So, if you go to "Members" tab on these forums, one of the categories are "Trophy Points."

What are these??? Are they important? Do they have a purpose??? :3

'Quests' as in your first post = +1 trophy point. You can see your achievements somewhere on your profile page.
