Doctor

Doctor is a job that is a part of the Department of Health. That being said, Doctors are one of the government paid jobs that get paid every 15 minutes they’re online. Their task is to help cure all ill citizens that request their help in the hospital. For more information, please refer to this guide.

Tour Guide

A Tour Guide’s job is to welcome all new players to the server letting them know it is their job to help them and show them around. Tour guide is also one of the government paid jobs that gets paid every 15 minutes. You will need to be familiar with commands used on the server to navigate the map, to use money, to rent apartments, and practically every command a player should know. Make sure you are friendly and welcoming towards new players. Tour Guides can guide players to /help for various questions they might have. Tour Guides should be prepared to answer a question, as it might not be able to be answered in the help page. If a player needs help allowing their friend build or edit their plot or apartment you can use the /as addfriend command. They might also need to give access for their friend into his/her chest, they can then use the /cmodify command. If a player tries these commands, but they end up not working a tour guide can guide the player to a staff member (if one may be on) to help them. If a player is interested in selling items, guide them to the government shop (In the mall 4th floor) to learn more about how to sell items. Although there are apartments in the city, players are allowed to live in the wild too. If they are afraid of their build getting griefed they can contact a staff member (/ticket) and ask them to region their land for 7 krunas per block. If a player is struggling traveling to different floors in a building using an elevator, tell them an elevator can be used by standing on the colored wool, and jumping to go up, shifting to go down.

Writer

Writers write stories, articles, and newspapers in Book & Quills for the BusinessCraft community to enjoy. They can sell these books to any interested players, any way they’d like to. The library even has shops you can rent to sell books! Book and Quills can be bought for 1kr from the front desk near the entrance of the library. When making a ChestShop, it is important for an author to do /iteminfo while holding the copies of their book to get the ID. This ID will be used on the ChestShop. A guide to ChestShop can be found here.

Brewer

Brewers can brew drinks for other players to enjoy in their own shops and cafes. Drinks can be distilled by using a brewing stand. You can also age alcoholic drinks in a barrel. You can check how long your drink has been in either a brewing stand or a barrel by right clicking the cauldron while holding a clock in your hand. More information on brewing can be found here.

Farmer

Farmers can harvest crops and raise livestock. Farmers sell their goods to players or sell them in a shop. Farmers can build farms either in the city (underground, out of sight) or in the wild. If their farm is in the city, they must make sure it is underground and cannot be seen. It is suggested that players region their farms so they are not griefed. More can be read about farmers here.

Hunter

Hunters are responsible for hunting down and killing the harmful mobs, which are only found in the wild. Every player gets some money for killing a monster, but hunters get 20% more. You can make even more money by building up a killstreak. Make sure you kill monsters without getting hit yourself and the reward will increase up to 50%! Killing too many mobs within a small time frame will give you a grinding penalty. Remember, hunters are only responsible for killing harmful mobs, this means they do not get any immunity from PvP laws and killing in the city is illegal!
And of course, you should not forget to sell your loot to other players directly or in a shop, to get the most out of each hunting trip.

Driver

This exam is not a job but must be attained in order for a player to purchase a car or bike from the car dealership. The rules of cars on BusinessCraft are similar to those of real lives. For example cars must drive on the right side of the road. Player can only park in public, or private spots, or be picked up by the player, this can be done by right clicking while shifting. To start driving your car right click it to place then right click again to enter. Only use your own cars, unless another player allows you to use theirs. You can pick up your car by shift+right clicking on it.

Entrepreneur

Similar to the driver's license, the entrepreneur title is not a job, but a qualification. Entrepreneurs are players that own and run a company for their own profit and pleasure. Nothing is required to begin a company besides having the entrepreneur title. Although nothing is required, it is highly recommended that you have a business plan and somewhere to build or rent a company HQ. We also recommend renting out office space instead of building an HQ yourself due to the cost. If you are hesitant on designing/building your own HQ you can hire someone. You can hire players to work for you, you can then set a wage that will automatically pay them every 15 minutes. You can hire people on forums or discord server, then you can agree on your terms and officially hire them in game. Anyone can be hired for the job, as long as they are fairly compensated either through a wage or through commission pay. Wages must be at least 10kr/15 minutes of work. You can read more about using companies here.

Lawyer

As a Lawyer, you’re responsible for providing the players with help in regards to Businecraft Law - you should be able to read and interpret law and convey strong arguments to why law should be interpreted in the way you mean. Lawyers are to be hired for court cases if you do not want to represent yourself. Try to avoid these things as a lawyer; Misrepresenting the law to clients and a courtroom, being dishonest and arguing in bad faith. You can read more about the job here

You can toggle the ability to assist in chopping wood faster with '/tg toggle' before and after chopping down trees. You may sell the tree materials you collect in chest shops or directly to other players.

Landscaper

As a landscaper, you may either work under the Department of Agriculture, or you can choose not to. When working as a landscaper for the DoA, your job is to clean up the land in the wild that has been destroyed by players. If you prefer not to work for the DoA, you can create your own landscaping company and have your own employees. You can read more about the landscaper job by clicking here.
